Starting February 21, Disney fans can experience a magical journey aboard the “Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen”, a specially themed bullet train adorned with characters from iconic Disney films such as Frozen and Tangled. This collaboration between Central Japan Railway Co. and Tokyo Disney Resort marks the first time in the 60-year history of the Tokaido Shinkansen that trains will feature Disney-themed wraps.

A Magical Touch for Rail Travel

The “Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen” celebrates the opening of Tokyo DisneySea’s newest themed area, Fantasy Springs, which debuted in June. The exterior of the train will showcase vibrant designs featuring Disney characters, while the interior promises an immersive experience with uniquely designed seat headrest covers and other magical touches. Adding to the ambiance, the onboard melody will feature the beloved song “I See the Light” from Disney’s Tangled.

Limited-Time Service

The Disney-themed bullet trains will operate on the Tokaido Shinkansen Line connecting Tokyo and Shin-Osaka stations through mid-September 2025. The service will include two round trips on weekends and holidays, offering travelers a special experience while traversing one of Japan’s busiest rail routes.

This initiative continues Oriental Land Co.’s efforts to promote Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs area.
